Getting Started

Removing friction from the MVP onboarding process.

Installing the Reme Chrome Extension

Getting Reme up and running on your browser is quick and easy. Follow these steps to install.

  • Navigate to the 'Sources' page within the Reme Web App to find the unlisted Chrome Web Store download link.
  • Download and add the extension to Chrome.

After you add the extension, you can pin it in Chrome so it is always visible. To pin a Chrome extension:

  • Click the puzzle piece icon (Extensions menu) in the top-right corner of the toolbar.
  • Find the Reme extension in the list.
  • Click the pin icon next to it so it turns blue. The Reme icon will then appear directly in your toolbar for easy access.

Setting Up Your Account

Before you can capture your work, you need to create a secure account.

  • Authenticate securely via Supabase.
  • Ensure the Chrome Extension is connected to your web app account to sync logs.

Logging In to the Extension

Once installed, you'll need to log in to the extension to link it with your account.

Your First Capture

Ready to start logging your impact? Here is a quick walkthrough on how to make your first capture.

Keyboard Shortcuts for Quick Capture

Speed up your workflow by configuring a keyboard shortcut to instantly open the capture window.

  • Go to chrome://extensions/shortcuts in your browser.
  • Find the Reme extension and set your preferred shortcut (e.g., Cmd+Shift+R or Ctrl+Shift+R).
  • Use the shortcut anytime while browsing to immediately capture your current context.

Master the ECO Framework & Capture Flow

Educating on the core value proposition and how to use the tool effectively.

Introduction to the ECO Framework

The ECO Framework is the foundation of Reme. It structures how you document your work to ensure maximum clarity and impact.

  • Event (the context): Captures the situation. Subsets include: Collaboration/Support, Problem/Blocker, Project/Milestone, Initiative/Idea, Learning/Development, and Feedback/Praise.
  • Contribution (the action): Details what you did. Subsets include: Description, Skills, Soft Skills, and Hard Skills.
  • Outcome (the result): The quantifiable impact. Subsets include: Description, Outcome Type, Business Outcome, Team Outcome, and Personal Outcome.

The "Capture Now, Verify Later" Workflow

Reme's core MVP loop is designed to overcome Recency Bias by separating the act of logging from the act of evaluating the outcome.

  • You only need to log Event and Contribution in the moment (via the Chrome Extension).
  • Later, use the Web App (Workbench) retrospectively to add the Outcome when the business impact is definitively known.

Generating Your Prep-Kit (Exporting)

Your verified logs can be compiled into a Prep-Kit to arm you for performance reviews and 1-on-1s.

  • Export your verified ECO logs directly from the Workbench.
  • Use this data-driven narrative to confidently articulate your value.

Privacy & Security

Our commitment to keeping your data safe and private.

Our Privacy-First Architecture

Reme is a private ledger for the individual. Your managers or employers have absolutely no access unless explicitly shared.

While the current model is a single-player utility, any future B2B implementation would be strictly opt-in.

How the Domain Blocklist Works

The Chrome Extension only reads context (tab titles, URLs) intelligently.

We use a strict domain blocklist: Reme ignores sensitive domains and only activates on approved work tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub, Gmail) or allows users to manually capture.

Data Ownership

You own your data. All logs are securely stored and encrypted.

You can export all your data or completely delete your account and associated logs at any time without asking permission.

Support & Feedback

General Problems

If you face any general problems (especially with the Chrome extension), please let us know so we can investigate and resolve them as soon as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my manager or company going to see what I log?
No. Reme is designed as your personal, private ledger. Nothing is shared with your employer. The B2B team version is an entirely separate, opt-in product conceptually.
Does the Chrome Extension read all my open tabs and browsing history?
Absolutely not. We use a strict privacy model with a domain blocklist. The extension only captures context temporarily when you explicitly open it on supported work platforms, or when you highlight specific text.
What if I finish a task but don't know the business impact (Outcome) yet?
That is by design! The Reme workflow is "Capture Now, Verify Later." Log the Event and Contribution quickly using the extension so you don't forget it. Come back to the Web App Workbench weeks later to fill in the Outcome once the results are clear.
Can I use Reme if I don't use Chrome?
Currently, the automatic capture flow is optimized as a Chrome Extension. However, you can still manually log your ECO entries directly within the Reme Web App on any browser.
