Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026. This policy outlines how Reme protects your data while helping you capture and organize your daily wins and contributions.

1. Our Promise: Built for Your Security

Reme is designed to help you document your "hidden work"—the daily coding wins, complex PM decisions, and design reviews that often go unnoticed.

We respect your workflows and privacy. Reme is not a monitoring or surveillance tool. Our Chrome Extension operates entirely via manual, user-initiated action. We do not engage in background scraping or automated data exfiltration. You are always in control of what gets captured.

2. Information We explicitly Collect

We only collect the data necessary to power your personal workbench and ECO logs:

  • Account Data: Basic profile information (name, email) used for authentication and workspace routing.
  • Captured Context & Logs: When you actively trigger our extension on platforms like Jira, GitHub, Linear, or Slack, we extract relevant DOM text (e.g., issue titles or comments) to synthesize your contribution summary.
  • App Usage & Technical Logs: Standard application telemetry and crash reporting to keep our services reliable and performant.

3. How We Use and Process Your Data

Reme utilizes your data responsibly to:

  • Structure Your Wins: We use Large Language Models (LLMs) to transform raw, extracted context into structured "ECO" (Event, Contribution, Outcome) logs. Your data is processed securely for this explicit feature alone.
  • Build Your Workbench: To populate your dashboard allowing you to filter, sort, and export achievements for 1-1s and performance reviews.
  • Communicate: To send critical product updates, authentication links, and security alerts.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your data under any circumstances. We share data only as follows:

  • With Your Employer (Opt-in Only): If your organization uses Reme for Teams, your private draft logs remain strictly yours until you formally submit or connect a log to a shared manager view.
  • Trusted Service Providers: We rely on foundational providers (like Supabase for database storage and specialized LLM APIs) bound by strict security agreements and data processing addendums (DPAs).
  • Legal Compliance: If required by valid legal process or to protect the safety of Reme and our users.

5. Your Rights and Controls

You own your career narrative. You can export your data into Markdown or Word docs anytime. You can selectively delete individual logs, wipe your entire workbench history, or permanently close your account directly within the app settings.

If you have privacy-related concerns or wish to invoke specific data rights, contact us at privacy@reme.com.
